What information does our microbiota test give you?
1. Dysbiosis Index (DI), which is a score of your gut health. A score of 1 or 2 is considered a healthy gut, while a score of 3 to 5 indicates dysbiosis. Accompanying the score you'll see a summary tailored for your score.
2. A list of your score on 5 functional profiles (A-E). These profiles are abstractions of the gut microbiome and are used to understand aspects of the gut microbiome's functional properties, for instance if you have a diverse population or if you have enough of the various mucus protecting bacteria. All profiles are explained generically and your score is explained specifically. You can also see which bacteria are included in each profile.
3. Suggested action, which could be dietary or lifestyle changes to improve your gut health. Concrete good suggestions are given, and you can also see why an action is suggested. All actions are supported by research and you can read more about the background if you so desire.
4. A list of bacteria that are present in your gut, and their relative abundance. This list is not exhaustive, but it includes the most important bacteria for gut health. You can see how your bacteria compare to the average of the population and read more about the bacteria in our extensive bacteria encyclopaedia, the Bacteriopedia, which is available for free to our users.

The average order takes around 5 days since ordering for it to arrive to your home.
After sending your collection kit to the lab for testing, it should take no more than 14 days for your results to be ready. Once you purchase your test, make sure to keep an eye on the Dashboard page, in order to see the current status of your order.
